Scapolite is a rare and unusual gemstone that historically was known as Chrysolite.During the last century the gem has also been known as Wernerite ,Mizzonite,Dipyre and Marialite.
Scapolite color ranges from near colorless through yellow ,pink, green and violetish blue, purple with degree of transparency ranging from transparent to opaque.
Pale yellow is most commonly found Scapolite.
